Good day. The Alberta Gymnastics Federation has partnered with the Ortona Gymnastics Club to host a session open to all for-profit and not-for-profit gym clubs throughout Alberta to discuss common business challenges.

This session is primarily designed for Club administrators, Club Directors and other interested individuals. A few clubs within the Edmonton area are already interested in meeting and we would like to extend that experience to all other AGF member clubs.

TOUR AROUND TOWN

A new gymnastics mastermind group on the business of gymnastics is being formed and all interested for-profit and not-for-profit clubs in Alberta are invited to join. In a large informal setting we will discuss the common challenges faced in delivering administrative, policy, contract services and other core business functions critical to the successful operations of a gymnastics facility.

Let's face it, we all do the same business; provide the same services,focusing on serving our local customers. The result is we all face the same challenges of defining and enforcing policy & procedure, administrative headaches, customer service issues, financial management and business growth issues.

This is intended to be a collaborative effort to stimulate candid conversations by participants regarding the overall business model of
gymnastics facilities and services. By sharing the challenges with each other we can all progress to more efficient management of our Clubs.

If you are interested in creating and participating in this benchmark
venture of cooperative spirit, please RSVP with the names from your club that will be attending by noon February 19, 2010 to aroundtown@ortonagymnastics.com.

The intent is to meet on a quarterly basis to discuss the common issues and struggles we all face in the operations of our businesses. The goal is to empower the administrative and operational personal with practical solutions to these challenges.

First meeting is set for Friday February 26, 9:30am to 12:30pm, and will be hosted by Ortona Gymnastics Club (under the bubble). Coffee/tea/muffins will be served. If you are interested in hosting subsequent meetings, please include with your RSVP. It would be most beneficial to the group for every meeting to be hosted at a different location so we can all become more familiar with our community of Clubs.

Again, please RSVP by noon February 19, 2010 with your names of participants to aroundtown@ortonagymnastics.com. Based on your feedback AGF will develop the initial agenda and distribute to participants before the meeting.
