Western Canadian Artistic Gymnastics Championship

The Western Canadian Championships in Grande Prairie are now complete. Ortona qualified one athlete to each of the two six person Alberta teams - Tateum M on the WAG team and Callum S on the MAG team. Qualifying events for finals ran with the top athletes performing for the finals.

Qualifying Rounds
In the qualifying rounds, Tateum finished 3rd AA in P5 Open and advanced to the event finals for Balance Beam, Floor and Vault. Callum advanced to the event finals for High Bar and Floor in P4.

Event Finals

Callum is the Western Canadian Event Champion on High Bar - GOLD! Not done yet - he also took Bronze on Floor. Tateum competed on three out of four events and successfully placed 4th on Beam, 5th on Vault, 6th on Floor. You both rock! Coach Rebecca was on the floor with both of the athletes this weekend and in her words "they made us proud".
