As a non-profit organization, Ortona Gymnastics Club is governed by an elected, volunteer Board of Directors to assist in business development and policy management of the Club. Executive positions are two year terms, Member at Large positions are one year terms with elections held during the Annual General Meeting held every fall.

Help bring promising new voices and ideas.

We are requesting you to give serious consideration to nomination for a Board position. A number of one year and two year board terms are available.

We are seeking members from diverse professional backgrounds who combine broad spectrum of experience and reputation for integrity. You do not need to be a member of Ortona.

While service on the Board of Directors requires a commitment of time and energy, the personal and professional rewards are numerous. Active participation allows Ortona to be a true reflection on our community, and allows us to be successful in meeting our diverse needs.

The next several years promise to be exciting ones for Ortona Gymnastics Club. We will continue to have a positive impact on the communities we serve. The Board of Directors will play a central role in this important work.

Each Board Member will be elected for his/her individual qualities, potential for leadership in a particular area of expertise required by the Club, as well as their willingness to give their time and effort to the work of the Club.

Requirements of Board membership include:

  • Commitment to the work of the organization.
  • Knowledge and skills in one or more areas of Board governance: policy, finance, programs, personnel and advocacy.
  • Willingness to serve on committees.
  • Attendance at monthly Board meetings
  • Attendance at meetings of assigned committees
  • Attendance at Annual General Meetings
  • Support of Special Events
