CANJump Program

CANJUMP (Ages 5+)

The Play Factory Canjump Program is an innovative recreation program dedicated to teaching trampoline and tumbling to children in a fun, challenging, and rewarding atmosphere. Samples of Reward Posters: DMT, Trampoline, Tumbling Trampoline and Tumbling (T&T) consists of 3 disciplines; Trampoline, Double mini-trampoline (DMT) and Tumbling. CANJUMP has developed a quality program that teaches the children the basics of this sport.

Individual trampoline focuses on combinations of skills performed one after the other with no breaks or jumps in between. Double Mini- Trampoline takes place on a smaller, narrower trampoline with the participant running up to jump onto the trampoline, performing 1 or 2 skills which land back on the trampoline, and performing a dismount skill on a landing mat. Tumbling consists of performing a series of tumbling skills along a 40 to 80 foot long, 6 foot wide sprung or rod floor, or by simply using a line of mats.

Program Offered at Ortona

Recreational Trampoline: Suggested class time is once a week for 1.5 hours. It will follow the Can Jump program for the most part, with an emphasis on fun and play. Used as an introduction to the sport of trampoline but mostly as an aside to the lack of trampoline in Can Gym. It will also serve as a safety program for parents with back yard trampolines that want to make sure their kids are not going to injure themselves.

Recreational Tumbling: Once a week for 1.5 hours. It will be strictly based on Can Jump with an emphasis on fun and play. It will be used as an introduction to the sport of tumbling but mostly as a strength and flexibility builder with fun-filled, game-inspired conditioning.

Recreational Double Mini: Once a week for 1.5 hours. It will be strictly Can Jump with an emphasis on fun and play. This class is an introduction to the sport of double mini, with a strong cardiovascular and strength building component.

Advanced Trampoline: Twice a week, for 2 hours each class. With less emphasis on Can Jump, this program will focus mainly on the skills required for competitive trampoline. It will focus more on pre-competitive style training and will groom the athletes for competitive trampoline in the future.

Advanced Trampoline & Tumbling: Twice a week, for two hours each class. Based primarily on the skills required for both tumbling and trampoline at the competitive level, this program will be the feeder program for the competitive Trampoline & Tumbling program.

Advanced Trampoline & Double Mini: Twice a week for 2 hours each class. This program is for the future competitive athlete who is not interested in tumbling but would like to compete in the other 2 events. This would lead into a different Trampoline & Tumbling set up when they are ready to compete, with less time required because of a modified training plan.

Advanced Tumbling: Three times a week for 2 hours each class. This program is for the athlete looking to learn advanced tumbling skills, not only for Trampoline & Tumbling but also for other sports that require it. The increase in hours will be for the extra conditioning required and the fact that this is the most difficult aspect of Trampoline & Tumbling.

Tramp for Cheer: This is a program for athletes over the age of 14. It is specifically designed for cheerleaders to help with tumbling and jumps that are required in cheerleading. This program includes strength training, stretching and basics. It utilizes our spring floor, tumble trak and trampolines.
