Kindergym

KinderGym (Ages 3 Months to 5 Years)
Our Preschool Programs
Gymnastics is an ideal activity for preschoolers. It is an excellent physical activity to develop gross motor skills, spatial awareness, coordination, strength, power, flexibility, musical awareness and creativity. Gymnastics is also a fun-filled, non-contact activity through which children can develop self-confidence, experience a wide variety of challenges and opportunity for social interaction. We utilize both our large main gym as well as our unique, colorful preschool gym - the Tot Kingdom.
Gymnastics helps develop physical literacy in children. The development of these physical tools are needed to take part in activity and sport, both for healthy life-long enjoyment and for sporting success. You’re never too young to gain something positive from the sport of gymnastics.

Tuck and Rollers
This program was started in partnership with Family Linkages Foundation of Alberta in January 2006. The goal of this program is to provide children with Autism Spectrum Disorder with the skills necessary to participate to their fullest potential in a gymnastics class. Parents and aides attend the classes with the children to provide support as the children practice gymnastic and gross motor skills and experience a variety of sensory inputs and social interactions.
A typical class includes:
* Warm up activity (e.g. game, parachute)
* Stretch
* 2-3 structured circuits (e.g. trampoline, floor, bars, etc)
* Free time in the smaller gym (includes foam pit, trampoline)
* Stamp and/or sticker to end the class
The classes are 45-60 minutes long, depending on the age of the children in the group. During the Spring 2008 session, a school-aged group (60 minute class) was offered, as well as a preschool-aged group (45 minute class).
