KinderGym Trampoline and Tumbling Level 2 Grasshoppers - LTAD 1

Grasshoppers is an un-parented 60 minute second level of trampoline and tumbling program for children 4 to 5 years of age. Children continue to learn the simple progressions within the fundamentals of gymnastics. Music, games, hand - eye coordination and more is integrated into our program.

When the athletes are 6, they begin to filter into our CanJump programs.

These young athletes receive a report card at the end of each session and a red ribbon upon completion of the level to show them how far they have progressed.

Children must be potty trained to participate.

Ortona’s TnT Programs:

TnT at Ortona, is divided into 3 different sections based on age and skill level. Each program is loosely based on Gymnastics Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework. LTAD ensures the optimal development for gymnasts of all ages, interests and abilities and in all gymnastics disciplines and helps every athlete reach their full potential. There are 8 stages for LTAD, and each Ortona program corresponds to an LTAD stage.

Leapah’s World of Wonderment KinderGym Trampoline and Tumbling

Gymnastics is an ideal activity for preschoolers. It is an excellent physical way to develop gross motor skills, spatial awareness, coordination, strength, power, flexibility, musical awareness and creativity. Gymnastics is also a fun-filled, non-contact activity through which children can develop self-confidence, experience a wide variety of challenges and opportunity for social interaction.
Gymnastics helps develop physical literacy in children. The development of these physical tools are needed to take part in activity and sport, both for healthy life-long enjoyment and for sporting success. You’re never too young to gain something positive from the sport of gymnastics.
For full details on Long Term Athlete Development refer to Gymnastics Canada website. We have selected a highlight from each stage.
