T&T Badges 1 and 2 (Green/Pink) - LTAD 2

Our OGC T&T Badge program allows athletes to further develop their skills in trampoline and tumbling. Each level teaches more advanced skills. These 8 levels help athletes develop flexibility, courage, strength, technique and landings in a safe environment. Class length depends on the badge level. The program runs from September to June and sessions last for 10 to 13 weeks

Badge 1: Green

Athletes will learn how to land forwards and backwards from short heights, stepping jumps, forward rolls, proper body support positions and cartwheels. Classes are an hour long.

Badge 2: Pink

Athletes will learn skills such as springs over small objects, forward and backward rolls, bridges, jumps with half turns and cartwheels. Classes are an hour long.

*Badge 1 and 2 athletes are part of the same class, but only students who can execute the badge 2 skills will advance and be given a pink badge.

Gymnastics is a fun-filled, non-contact activity through which children can develop self-confidence, experience a wide variety of challenges and opportunity for social interaction.
Gymnastics helps develop physical literacy in children. The development of these physical tools are needed to take part in activity and sport, both for healthy life-long enjoyment and for sporting success. You’re never too young to gain something positive from the sport of gymnastics.
For full details on Long Term Athlete Development refer to Gymnastics Canada website. We have selected a highlight from each stage.
