The CanJump program allows athletes to further develop their skills in trampoline and tumbling. Each step teaches more advanced skills. These 12 steps help athletes develop flexibility, courage, strength, technique and landings in a safe environment.
CanJump Steps 3 & 4 is a one and a half hour class that introduces participants to twisting on the trampoline, where they will learn swivel hips, airplanes and rollers. Participants will also be introduced to some more advanced tumbling as they work on round-offs and progressions for forwards and backwards handsprings as well as front saltos. This is a class for anyone who has experience in gymnastics and is comfortable jumping and landing on a trampoline in various body positions and has completed steps 1 & 2.
Step 3: Athletes will learn basic power tumbling, twisting jump combinations on double mini-tramp and advanced non-inverted trampoline skills.
Step 4: Athletes will learn skills such as roundoffs and back handsprings in tumbling, front tucks off double mini-trampoline and twisting back drop combinations as well as front saltos.
*Steps 3 & 4 are part of the same class. While the athlete can advance faster in one discipline than another, all compulsory skills must be completed in this tier to advance to step 5 and beyond.
