• Notice of the 2025 Annual General Meeting

  On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are pleased to share the official Notice of the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Ortona Gymnastics Club. The AGM is an important opportunity for members to hear updates, review key documents, and participate in the governance of our club, including nominations for open Board positions detailed below.   Please note that the 2024-25 annual financial reports and the proposed budget for 2025-26 will be sent in a separate email before October 6. 
   
   
  1. Notice of Annual General Meeting
   
  Notice of 2025 Annual General Meeting – The Ortona Gymnastics Club
   
  As per The Ortona Gymnastics Club (Ortona) By-Law Article 5, notice is hereby given that the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ortona will be held:
   
  Date: Wednesday, October 29, 2025
  Time: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  Location: Saville Community Sports Centre, 11610 65 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 2E1, Classroom #3
   
  2. Call for Nominations
   
  Please note, as indicated on the Agenda, the Board is seeking to fill the positions of President and Secretary, both for 2-year terms, as well as Directors at Large for a 1-year term. The Board is seeking individuals who:
   
  - Demonstrate commitment to the mission and values of The Ortona Gymnastics Club.
  - Possess experience in governance, leadership, or nonprofit organizations.
  - Bring professional expertise in areas such as finance, law, human resources, risk management, communications, fundraising, or community engagement.
  - Exhibit integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively.
  - Are willing to commit the necessary time for meetings, committees, and club events.
   
  Please see the attached Bylaws for further details on the roles and responsibilities of Board members.
   
  If you wish to be nominated for a Board position, please follow the nomination procedure below. If you have any questions regarding serving on the Board, feel free to reach out to ogc.bod.pres@ortonagymnastics.com.
   
  Nomination Procedure:
   
  - Interested candidates must complete the Board of Directors Nomination Form (attached).
  - Nominations must be signed by both the nominator and the nominee.
  - By signing, nominees confirm their agreement to stand for election.
  - Completed forms must be submitted by email to jenn_costigan@icloud.com, dshiry@hotmail.com and aselim1@outlook.com or delivered to Ortona Gymnastics Club reception no later than October 22, 2025
