Welcome Ortona Participant,

What To Know

  • No spectators are allowed into the building at this time as the facility remains closed.
  • Your athletes coach will meet at the main entrance of Saville Centre where your athlete will complete hand sanitizing and a temperature check before walking into the building. Masks are required to be worn during arrival and walking into Ortona space. Once physical activity begins the mask can be removed.
  • Offered classes will have coaches assigned however they are subject to change.
  • Regular enhanced cleanings are being completed between classes to ensure participant and staff safety.
  • Staff are required to be masked at all times, socially distanced by 3m, and are to only be in contact for safety spotting.

 A Covid-19 screening form must be completed prior to each class. If your class is a Parented Class, you will need to complete all forms for both your child and yourself.

Arrive Prepared

  • Encourage your child to use the washroom prior to coming to class.  Washrooms are available if needed, however it is limited to a max of 2 people at a time.
  • Bring a filled water bottle as water fountains are closed. 
  • COME DRESSED in tighter fitting active wear to class, no jewellery, and long hair must be tied back. 
  • A mask must be worn walking into the building, and can be removed once through the Ortona orange doors.
  • Please line up (physically distanced) outside the Saville entrance, where your child will be temperature checked, and your COVID-19 screening reviewed, by an Ortona staff member.
  • Parent/Guardians are not permitted past the Saville entrance at this time, your child will be escorted by a coach to the Ortona gym space.
  •  No spectators will be allowed until further notice.
  • Athletes will be required to place their belongings into a small sanitized bin, that will remain with them throughout class.
  • Upon entering Ortona, hand-washing as well as sanitation of the feet will be enforced before class begins. Hand washing/sanitizing will be enforced between apparatus rotation changes and at the end of class.
  • Upon class conclusion, a coach will wait with the athletes outside the Saville entrance, until parents pick up their child.
  • Regular enhanced cleanings are being completed between classes to ensure participant and staff safety.

If you have already paid the 10.00 deposit for the Winter 2021 session and would like to use that towards your registration for one of our March 2021 one-off classes please contact the front desk at (780) 492-7300 or email generalinfo@ortonagymnastics.com with your Participants name and the Class that you would like them registered in (including Date and Time). Once your email has been received an Invoice will be created on your account, with your paid deposit applied, for your class and then the remainder can be paid online. Please note that the full amount of the one-off class fee must be paid prior to attending the class." 

 
Cancellation/Refund Policy
  • All Ortona Memberships, day camps/classes, open gyms and parents night out/date night are NON-REFUNDABLE.

  • Administrative Fees will be applied to all refunds and are as follows:
    • A $10.00 admin fee will be levied to all Recreational medical refunds.
    • A $10.00 admin fee will be levied to all refunds done to Credit on Account.
    • A $25.00 admin fee will be levied to all refunds done as a Payout.
      Please note the above Admin fees are subject to change based on current world situations but they will not be higher than the stated amounts.
  •  Ortona reserves the right to cancel or change a program as necessary. If we cancel a class, refunds will be issued for the cancelled classes. 

  • For credit card refund requests, the information of the same credit card that was used to make the original purchase must be provided and refunds of this nature can only be refunded back to the original card.

  • Refunds for payments made via Cash, Cheque or Debit will be refunded via a Cheque made out to the name on the original receipt and mailed out to the current address on file.

  • Recreational Class refunds vary depending on the withdrawal date and are as follows:
    • If withdrawing eight (8) days or more before the course start date a refund of the class fees, less the applicable administrative fees, will be issued.
    • If withdrawing within seven (7) days of course start date and up to the second (2nd) class a refund of half (50%) of the class fees, less the applicable administrative fees, will be issued.
    • Once the third (3rd) class has started NO refunds will be issued.
    • Programs that meet more than once a week and are longer than three (3) months in length require thirty (30) days notice to withdraw from, all class fees up to and including the notice period are payable.
  • Week-long Camp refunds vary depending on the withdrawal date and are as follows:
    • If withdrawing fourteen (14) days or more before the camp start date a refund of the camp fees, less the applicable administrative fees, will be issued.
    • If withdrawing within thirteen (13) days of camp start date and up to two (2) days before camp a refund of half (50%) of the camp fees, less the applicable administrative fees, will be issued.
    • Once the camp has started NO refunds will be issued.
  • Course withdrawal date will be determined based on the submission time of the Request Cancellation form, which can be found here, and/or the date that a doctor’s note is received at the Ortona office. For any withdrawal please fill out and submit this online form. If withdrawing due to medical circumstances please ensure that a copy of the doctor’s note is received by our office and it clearly states the time period that an athlete cannot participate for.

  • Classes missed by participant will not be refunded or made up. Classes cancelled by Ortona (such as coach illness or other extenuating circumstances) will either be made up or the missed class(es) credited.
